100% Inspired. 100% Prepared. 100% Employed.

In 1919, a group of business leaders came together in Springfield, Massachusetts, to start a program aimed at helping young people gain the skills they needed to succeed in America's booming cities. A century later the product of their efforts, Junior Achievement, continues to better the lives of future leaders by teaching young people the real world skills necessary for a successful future.

In 2019, JA is celebrating its Centennial. While we honor the organization’s first 100 years, we are also looking forward—ensuring that the young people we reach today are 100% ready for life and work in the real world.

This past year was one of great excitement and expansion with the addition of a third Finance Park in Silver Spring, Maryland. JA Finance Park Montgomery County® will inspire and empower 12,000 Montgomery County Public Schools students each year to take control of their financial futures.

This annual report is the reflection of over 66,000 students served through 715,000 hours of instruction by nearly 6,000 unique volunteers.

These are numbers shaped by a passionate collective of people like you—educational thought leaders, business frontrunners, dedicated parents and Greater Washington civic leaders—who have come together as JA role models, partners and volunteer mentors to help our region’s youth Know What Matters.

Thank you. We can’t do what we do without you.

Sincerely,
