WHAT IS A #JAHERO?
You don't need superpowers to be a hero. You just need to care. And, during the 2014-2015 school year, that's exactly what you did. Some of you gave your time and energy as volunteers in the classroom, at JA Finance Park®, and at your workplaces through unforgettable job shadow experiences, while others contributed to our mission by investing dollars that make a real, measurable difference for District, Maryland, and Virginia youth.
You sent a powerful message to the young people in Greater Washington that you believe in their ability to be financially capable and tenacious. You believe in their futures... and all the things they will one day achieve in their careers. You have helped further emphasize that the skills and concepts taught in Junior Achievement® programs are concepts that we, as a society, cannot to afford to overlook in our school systems. We have a vested interest in ensuring that our young people are more prepared than ever to take on the challenges of an increasingly complex world with fervor and confidence. By investing in our programs you can rest assured knowing you have done your part to complete this preparation.
It takes just one, generous donor to provide the means necessary to unveil a world of possibilities to JA participants. And it takes just one, passionate volunteer to ignite a new sense of hope within these children. We would like to thank you for stepping up to the plate this year and helping to show over 55,000 of our region's kids the possibility of what they can do if they work hard.
Because of your generous contributions and time, you have helped JA® take another step toward our goal of giving this generation unparalleled hope for the future and the skills to turn their dreams into reality. Superpowers or not, you’re a hero in our eyes.
